Access by airplane
Taxi or car route after arriving at Niigata Airport
'It takes approximately 40 munites to get to Tsukioka Onsen from Niigata Airport, .
Public transportation, such as by train (JR), from Niigata Airport
Take the limousine bus from Niigata Airport for 25 minutes to Niigata Train Station. From the station, take the "JR Hakushin Line" outbound for 20 minutes. Get off at Toyosaka Station, and board the Tsukioka Onsen shuttle for approximately 20 minutes.
Access by Shinkansen bullet train or local train
Route leaving from Tokyo Station
Board the Joetsu Shinkansen "to Niigata" for approximately 2 hours 10 minutes. Get off at Niigata Station, transfer to the outbound line of "JR Hakushin Line" for 20 minutes. Get off at Toyosaka Station, and transfer to the Tsukioka Onsen shuttle for 20 minutes.
